The theme for our team the past week has been THANKSGIVING - this theme inspired a series of special posts that highlight all that has been done through our ministry together.
That leads us to today: the official #GivingTuesday! Today, many people around the nation are collectively bringing their donations to communities around the world through amazing nonprofits and charities.

We boldly ask for and invite your donations for feeding 5,000 individuals left and forgotten in a hard-to-access place in Eastern Uganda. We found their grandmothers starving, their children eating beer residue, and their leaders with a keen sense of being forgotten.
BUT, thanks to previous donors, we are now on a great path to seeing them healthy and fully self-sustaining! We frequently get reports of hope bursting among the people. No one has died because of your giving (when at least 1,000 would have died if we didn’t bring aid).
And the dangerously malnourished residents of these 5 villages are now either fully recovered or in active recovery!

The work is not yet finished. We’re aiming to bring sustainable gardening, see them train their leaders, and leave them as a thriving community of Karamajo! To do this, we still need more help.
We’re aiming to raise $40,000 this #GivingTuesday to keep this work (and more) going strong until it’s finished! With so much progress and impact already being made, we’re excited to actually see these villages fully transformed into self-sustaining communities.

Communities Beyond Uganda
We don’t just see TCI as a nonprofit - rather we see it as an organization that has grown to become an effective vehicle for transforming communities internationally. While our focus has been on Uganda thus far, we have a vision of impacting communities far beyond the country of Uganda.
In order to continue to press toward that goal, we’re asking for this timely and strategic boost! Your donation is not only an investment in the famine-ridden community of 5,000 people that we “adopted”…
It’s an investment in a rapid-response, sustainability-focused vehicle for extreme community change in harsh environments. And today on #GivingTuesday, our aim and prayer is that God would be pleased, with both our offering and yours.
Would you join us in giving generously to these suffering, yet worthy-of-dignity communities?
